The Ibero-American Symposium on Computer Programming (SIIPRIN'2017) represents a forum for Ibero-American meeting of researchers and professionals dedicated to the study and investigation of the different aspects involved in computer programming. Its fundamental purpose is to promote contact, scientific and professional cooperation in this area. SIIPRIN'2017 expects to bring together a significant number of attendees, to make known to the community and society the existence of a space for scientific dissemination related to computer programming. SIIPRIN arises from the need to create and maintain a forum for discussion among scientists, academics and professionals interested in the study and research of computer programming in our society as well as in higher education. This symposium will provide a meeting point to present, disseminate and discuss results of ongoing research or carried out around this theme. As an implicit objective, it is intended to foster collaboration between the different stakeholders where it is hoped to encourage the development of a scientific base in this field. The topics of interest of the symposium focus on different aspects of computer programming and relate to: Programming Paradigms Programming languages Development Environments (IDEs) Teaching programming in basic, secondary and higher education Social aspects of programming (collaborative and team work) Psychological Aspects of Programming Computer programming in our modern society (IoT, home automation, robotics, health, telecom, science, education, etc.) Specific Domain Languages ​​(DSL) SIIPRIN 2017 is organized by the Software Engineering Research Group (GrIISoft) of the Faculty of Informatics and Electronics of the Polytechnic School of Chimborazo.
